So my first time visiting was on thanksgiving. We had to stand in line for about 1 hour and 20 minutes because the restaurant had reached it max capacity. The wait WAS WELL WORTH IT! The food was hot , plentiful and flavorful. Even though there were 500 people in this restaurant you could not tell. There was not a wait for good as it was refilled immediately. The turkey was moist and WELL SEASONED and the ham was good too. I didn't like the mac and cheese it taste like it came out of a can and the lemon meringue pie was too tart. But outside of those two items i thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will MOST DEFINITELY be returning.
Always a great experience with great staff and good food. they treat you like family and it's a great place to bring your family if you're looking for somewhere to go. From steaks to salad bar to desserts it's the place to be. come on at night when Miss Ruby and her crew are working because they are fantastic and preach you the best.
Everything was great tasting and getting such a large selection of food was well worth the price. The fact that it is all you can eat and have such a large selection whether you're a carnivore or vegetarian you can't go wrong. The employees were constantly checking the food to make sure everything was filled and fresh they were either adding to or exchanging containers. The employees were all very friendly and continually check to see if we were doing okay if we needed anything, filling our drinks and keeping our table clean. Our friend's mom walks with a walker and instead of one of us carrying her plate the employees insisted that they help her get her food for her and bring it to the table. There was plenty of room in the restaurant to walk around with a walker. A lot of places it's very hard to navigate the walker or the wheelchair through the restaurant. Having to use them off and on myself I quit going to a lot of restaurants even though they say their handicap accessible. We grew up going to Furr's but it was always Furr's Cafeteria I'm really happy that they've changed over to the Furr's Fresh Buffet going to the old restaurant made me feel like I was still in school in the cafeteria line. The way they used to charge for your meal sometimes came out more than what we just paid for all you could eat meal. Normal price is 15 at age 60 you get a senior discount cost 10.50. Great food. Friendly staff serving a decent selection of comfort foods and a well stocked dessert bar makes this Furr's a great weekend lunch or dinner stop. We go for the chicken fried steak and potatoes, but decent hand sliced meats are near the grill. Pretty good response on the restocking of food because it sure does get busy. Still a pleasant time after many years of attendance.
A little over a week ago I ate with a group of friends and family at this Furr's restaurant. The food was great, and the service was wonderful. I did fall while I was there, and it was completely my fault. A gentleman cleaning was wonderful and helped me to my feet. He helped me to a table and offered to pay for my meal himself. I would love to thank him if I get a chance to go back! The manager came out to check on me, helped me, and even offered to make a plate for me. The waitress was awesome and was very attentive to our group. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
One of the best buffets I been to. Definitely sticks to there name Fresh. We're consistently bringing fresh food out non stop and all of the workers were very nice. For 3 people and drinks came out to about 45 which I say is pretty good. Good variety as well on desserts as well.
Oh my gawd !!! We sat and GRAZED !! They have the old Furrs menu with ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet style. Great homemade American food. And did I say MILLIONAIRE PIE !!! Can't believe I waited this long to try the new furrs. I'll be back for sure.
For starters, Ruby the manager it's hyper polite and very customer service oriented. The variety of food it's overwhelming, you can see the value for the price they charge. Wait staff are trained well and are very helpful. Plenty of parking lot and clean restrooms. Highly recommend for family with tight budget; or anyone who wants try a different flavor in the city for home style cooking. Kudos, Furr's!
